About KYPIRC

The Ohio Valley Educational Cooperative (OVEC), in partnership with school districts in Kentucky established a statewide Parent Information and Resource Center Program.  The goal of the Kentucky Parent Information and Resource Center (KYPIRC) is to provide research – based curriculum materials and a trainer of trainer program for Kentucky collaborative partners and parent involvement leaders and to provide local, regional, and statewide support for parents to enhance their involvement in their children’s education by implementing effective parental involvement policies, programs and activities that will improve children’s academic achievement.

Location

The KYPIRC's central location is in Shelbyville, Kentucky with 3 Regional Training Centers. Region 1 is in Western Kentucky. Region 2 is in North Central Kentucky and Region 3 is in Eastern Kentucky. For contact information and a Kentucky Map of KYPIRC locations, click here. KYPIRC partners with schools and other collaborative partners to enhance parent involvement, conduct parent trainings for families with children birth to 12th grade, distribute parenting information, create and maintain a PIRC website, and offer statewide training sessions.
